Since I was a young girl I have loved being active. While I may not have been an athlete or great at any sports, I quickly fell in love with the gym during high school. After taking my first group fitness class, I was hooked and knew that was what I wanted to do.
Flashback 4 years later I went to Ball State University to study Exercise Science and continued to find my love for health and fitness. This is also where I started my career as a group fitness instructor and now, 13 years later, I continue to teach and educate the world.
Even with all my education and passion, I still struggled with my weight. Mental and physical struggles pulled me down every day until one day I said enough. I found ways that worked for me and 40 pounds later, I report that I am happy and HEALTHY.
When I am not in the gym or thinking about food (because let’s be honest that takes up 90% of my life), I love to do anything crafty. Whether it’s painting parties with my girlfriends, creating door wreaths, bedazzling my competition suit, or editing photos; you can usually find me doing something that uses the creative side of my brain. Possibly doing all the above while watching Disney movies and having a glass of wine (when I’m not in contest prep).
While I may not be a top expert, I have YEARS of experience and I have a strong passion for health and fitness that I want to pass on to everyone!!
